<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="color: #ffff99;">   The meeting was called to order at 7 PM by President John Kiser at Spooky’s in The Dalles.  Club officers present were the President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Webmaster/Membership Chairman.  <strong>INTRODUCTIONS:</strong>  Newlyweds, Mr. &#38; Mrs. Steve Hudson, were presented to those attending tonight‘s meeting.  <strong>GOOD OF THE ORDER:</strong>  Con Kilian read “The Philosophy of Life”.  <strong>TREASURER’S REPORT:</strong>  Barbara Thomas reported that all bills were paid to this date &#38; gave an account of the bank balance.  Motion made &#38; seconded to approve the report as presented.  Motion carried.  <strong>MINUTES of the PREVIOUS MEETING:</strong>  A motion was made &#38; seconded to approve the May minutes as printed in the June Newsletter.  Motion carried.  <strong>CORRESPONDENCE:</strong>  Mail received included a notice of a show in Vernon, BC, on August 7, &#38; a show in Fossil to be held July 3rd.  <strong>MEMBERSHIP REPORT:</strong>  Total paid membership stands at 116, with 34 members present at this meeting.  <strong>HEARTS &#38; FLOWERS:</strong>  Congratulations to Steve &#38; Melody Hudson on their recent marriage!  <strong>TECH TIPS/SHOP</strong> <strong>RECOMMENDATIONS:</strong>  None.  <strong>RECENT ARRIVALS:</strong>  Con Kilian has a 1930 Model A that he purchased from his late brother-in-law.  <strong>CARS &#38; PARTS FOR SALE:</strong>  Nothing noted tonight.  <strong>EVENT REPORTS (past):</strong>  The cruise/picnic to Klickitat, Goldendale, Centerville &#38; High Prairie saw clear but cool weather.  Several picnickers were seen wearing the latest in blankets.  Thanks to the Coles for a very scenic cruise.  McElheran’s ‘40 Ford developed a problem with the brakes locking up before going very far but fortunately they were able to borrow a dependable GMC product &#38; continue on with the group.  The Memorial Day show &#38; parade in Wasco saw vehicles of Kathy Shebley, Paul Miller &#38; Bud Jones earning trophies.  The day included a tour of Wasco, lunch in Grass Valley &#38; cruise on back to The Dalles. Dale Coles went to shows in Moses Lake &#38; Ritzville, WA, where his pickup was awarded trophies at each event.  Charles &#38; Elizabeth Rising attended six events in the past weekend with their Cadillac, also bringing home awards.  The show in Stanfield was reported to have been a good one.  <strong>UPCOMING EVENTS:</strong>  Lots of shows on the agenda!  This weekend there’s a show in Dayton, WA, another at the Nazarene Church in Hood River.  The National Plymouth Club meets in Portland beginning tomorrow, June 16th.   On June 26th there will be a show in White Salmon at Grace Baptist with no entry fee &#38; a free lunch.  More shows in the near future include Hood River Ring Kings on July 17th, LaGrande in mid-July &#38; a show in Madras &#38; another in a couple weeks in Chehalis, WA.   A good website to view upcoming events &#38; flyers, ours included, is <a href="http://www.pdxcarculture.com">www.pdxcarculture.com</a> .          <strong>CRUISE THE GORGE REPORT:</strong>  President Kiser reports that 38 registrations have been received for the Show.  Gift bags have been ordered.  Napa Auto Parts &#38; Oil Can Henry’s are sponsors with $500 contributed by each.  Tee shirts have arrived.  Club members should send our registration forms to the Rotary or bring them to the Friday night registration.  A large ad is in Cruzin’ Magazine for the CTG Show.  <strong>OLD BUSINESS:</strong>  None. <strong>DRAWING:</strong>  Tickets were drawn for the names Dabulskis &#38; Calmers, neither present at tonight’s meeting, &#38; finally for Hashizumes, who were present &#38; awarded the $40.00.  <strong>ADJOUNMENT:</strong>  Meeting adjourned at 7:30 PM.</span></span></span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="color: #ffff99;"><span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"> The meeting was called to order at 7 PM by President John Kiser at Spooky’s in The Dalles.  All club officers were in attendance.  <strong>INTRODUCTIONS</strong>:  Member Kay Tenold was introduced as was Larry Clark.  <strong>GOOD OF THE ORDER</strong>:  Jake Grossmiller entertained the group with a bit of humor.  <strong>TREASURER’S REPORT</strong>:  Treasurer Thomas gave a report on the club bank balance with all current bills paid.  A motion was made to approve the report as given.  Motion seconded &#38; approved.  <strong>MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING</strong>:  A motion was made &#38; seconded to approve the April minutes as printed in the May newsletter.  Motion was approved.   <strong>CORRESPONDENCE</strong>:  None.  <strong>MEMBERSHIP REPORT</strong>:  Dale Coles reports that our membership stands at 110 up to this date.  Forty members attended tonight’s meeting.  <strong>HEARTS &#38; FLOWERS</strong>:  We were sorry to learn of the recent passing of Bert Bertalot’s friend Kay Mishey.  Dessie Bilyeu thanked one &#38; all for the cards &#38; food she &#38; Sam had received during the past month.  <strong>TECH TIPS/SHOP RECOMMENDATIONS</strong>:  Gary McElheran recommends buying a car that is done. <strong> RECENT ARRIVALS</strong>:  None.  <strong>CARS &#38; PARTS FOR SALE</strong>:  Ed Beardsley is offering his ‘52 Chevrolet for sale.  <strong>EVENT REPORTS (Past)</strong>:  The Stanfield Show on May 8, with about 40 cars entered, was attended by eight members.  Bob Earls received a 1st place ribbon.  May 9th was the Mother’s Day Brunch in Hood River, which was well attended. Thanks, Bob Pieckert, for making the arrangements.  Nine club members &#38; their cars joined in the cruise to the WAAAM in Hood River on May 15th, with the Eastern Oregon group.  Prez John &#38; Barbara attended a show in Redmond this month.  Jake Grossmiller reports that he handed out flyers for our CTG show in several cities during his recent visit to the Oregon Coast.   <strong>UPCOMING EVENTS</strong>: An ice cream run to Mosier will take place tomorrow night following the Burgerville gathering.  Sunday afternoon, May 23rd a cruise &#38; picnic is planned for the Lyle, Klickitat River &#38; Goldendale loop.  A show in Moses Lake is set for May 28, 29 &#38; 30.  On May 31st Wasco hosts a Memorial Day Parade &#38; Show.  Entry fee $5.00.  June 18, 19 &#38; 20 is All Wheels Weekend in Dayton, WA.  Call Bob Pieckert if you would like to attend as he has had 10 rooms set aside in Walla Walla for the nights of the 18th &#38; 19th.  Larry Clark called attention to a car show on June 19th in Hood River, 8 AM, in the church parking lot at 22nd &#38; Belmont. June 24-26, Richland, WA, will host Cool Desert Nights.  The LaGrande Show/Cruise is set for July 9-11.  A poker run is in the planning stages by Hageman’s &#38; Farley’s for the last half of August.  More details later.  <strong>CRUISE THE GORGE REPORT</strong>:  Mark Fortin reported on progress being made by the Rotary Club &#38; our club for the August Show.  “So far, so good”, says Mark.  Some discussion was brought up as to creating special raffle prizes for the Show.  Mark has been drawing up a timetable for Friday night &#38; Saturday, to assist the Rotary.  Sign-up sheets for judging, which will be handled by our Club, need to be drawn up &#38; passed around for signing.   Next CTG meeting will be Tuesday, June 1st.  The drags held the day following the CTG Show were discussed &#38; a motion was made, voted upon &#38; approved, to contribute $500 to this activity, continuing our Club’s support of this event.   <strong>OLD BUSINESS</strong>:  Barbara Hickerson issued another plea for recipes for inclusion in a club booklet.  Dale Coles reminded members to submit car pictures to him for displaying on Burgerville’s bulletin board if you haven’t already done so.  <strong>NEW BUSINESS</strong>:  Baseball caps have been ordered &#38; should arrive around June 1st.  Dale Coles suggested that the Club put together an annual budget.  <strong>DRAWING</strong>:  Tonight’s drawing was for $20.00.  Three tickets were drawn with the names of members Kilkenny, Maske &#38; Weber, none of whom were present.  At this point it was decided to cease drawing tickets &#38; instead, increase the amount for the June meeting’s drawing to $40.  This decision met with attending member’s approval.  <strong>ADJOURNMENT</strong>:  Meeting adjourned at 7:40 PM.</span></span></span></p>
